Innova is one of the younger fine art paper companies in the market, however, they are one of few who are dedicated solely to inkjet fine art and photo papers. Compared to some other fine art paper companies, Innova is one of the youngest in the market. Only established in 2003, they do not have the weight of typical traditions and history, allowing for them to pioneer new advancing papers. Innova is a true specialist in inkjet fine art and photo papers, embracing new technologies and innovations to deliver quality products. All of their products are pH neutral, acid and lignin free, archival high-quality and made using high-quality raw materials.

The Innova Art Editions are the papers that can offer both the look, feel and archival quality of classic fine art and photographic media, together with the image intensity and durability that is of the best quality. To ensure greater durability and longevity these products have no optical brightening agents, which reduces the risk of paper discolouration.
The Innova Photo Cotton Rag is one of the smoothest cotton surfaces available in the Innova collection. It has a smooth cotton base with a matte surface finish. The warm natural white shade of the cotton is ideal for creating archival quality prints of any size. The smooth surface of this cotton rag paper will ensure every detail can be seen. This is available at 315gsm, made from acid-free cotton. It is acid-free with a natural white colour without any optical brighteners. This paper was previously known as Smooth Cotton Natural White 100% Cotton.
This paper is reminiscent of traditional darkroom papers through the innovative crystal layer technology, leaving a stunning gloss finish and similar aesthetics to the techniques used in darkrooms. The natural white tone of the cotton rag base is most suited to printed artwork, as it creates a luxurious feeling to the print whilst the smooth gloss surface has the benefits of a light diffusing soft gloss. It is capable of reproducing a large tonal range with subtle graduations and deep, rich blacks. This is available at 335gsm, made from 100% cotton and has a crystal layer coating. It is acid-free with a natural white colour without any optical brighteners. This paper was previously known as FibaPrint Warm Cotton Gloss.
Baryta photo papers have always been a must for high-quality photography output, and the Innova Exhibition Photo Baryta uses new developments to improve a classic paper. With a Barium Coating on an alpha-cellulose paper, this baryta photo paper is compatible with both pigment and dye inks. The barium sulphate layer reproduces the finest details, and the pure white surface facilitates monochrome and full-colour images, with excellent shadows and highlights. Innova’s crystal layer technology developed for FibaPrint digital darkroom papers always creates prints to take your breath away. This is available at 310gsm. It is made from alpha-cellulose, has a 100% Barium coating and it is bleaching agent free. This paper was previously known as FibaPrint Baryta.
Innova has teamed up with the historic paper manufacturer, Fabriano, to bring two inkjet papers to the Editions range. The Fabriano paper started around 13th century Italy, with the legend being that the techniques had been learnt from a captured Arab prisoner who had tried to storm the port of Ancona. This subsequently made Fabriano one of the oldest paper producers in the whole of Europe, passing through the hands of many significant historical figures such as Michaelangelo and Beethoven. But it is the generational knowledge and experience developed over time, which has led to the high-quality papers Fabriano creates today.
The mould-made base of Innova Editions Fabriano Printmaking Rag is a coated cotton rag meaning there is the ability to print onto the same traditional Fabriano surface. The mould-made process results in a soft grain matte surface with a subtle texture on a natural white tone. It is perfect for photography with a more traditional look. This is available at 310gsm and is made from 100% cotton. It is acid-free with a natural white colour without any optical brighteners.
Innova Editions Fabriano Artistico Watercolour Rag is an inkjet twist on historic paper. The Innova Smooth Cotton High White has a smooth and soft texture perfect with a matte finish, allowing images to appear cleanly without imparting unwanted character to your final prints. A high white shade assures saturated colours pop and really stand out. This is available at 215gsm or 315gsm and is made from 100% cotton. It is acid-free with high white colour. There is also a Double-Sided version available at 225gsm.
Innova Decor Smooth Art has a velvet smooth finish and appealing natural white alpha-cellulose weight alpha-cellulose paper. Ideal for poster reproduction and restoration as the smooth surface ensures that even the finest details in your artwork are preserved. This is available at 210gsm, made from acid-free alpha-cellulose, with a natural white colour without any optical brighteners. There is also a Double-Sided version available at 220gsm.

The Innova Decor Watercolour Art has a watercolour type texturing and is lightweight making it ideal for producing art prints aimed at the décor art market. The rough textured surface gives a level of substance to your finished prints and is still lightweight enough to be easily mounted and framed. As photography moved away from film towards digitisation, many photographers want to still achieve the look of the film but harness the benefits of digital technologies. The Innova Photo Art range is helping to solve this problem. The Innova Photo Art collection is a selection of semi-matte and gloss-coated papers, especially for use with water-based inkjet printers. The range is built around the most demanded resin-coated products and features papers from the Innova FibaPrint papers. The results can combine the best effects of digital photography and the look of traditional film photography by using specific coatings and paper formulations.
